Foldle is a free daily puzzle at foldle.app. This page explains what we store, why, and how to have it deleted. You don't need an account or an email address to play.

What we store

• A random player ID and key. Your browser gets these on your first visit and keeps them in local storage, so your streak and results stay yours. They contain nothing about who you are.
• Your display name. We pick a random one, such as "Indigo Crane 4821". If you change it, the new name appears on public boards and in leagues you join.
• Your game activity. Which daily strips you opened, the folds you made, steps like finishing the how-to-play lesson, getting stuck, restarting or leaving a strip unsolved, your tries, solve time, Endless runs and scores, the leagues you created or joined, and when you shared a result.
• Reports. If you report a name, we store the report so we can review it.

What we don't do

• We don't ask for your real name, email or phone number.
• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use tracking cookies. Our analytics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without following you across sites.

Who can see what

Your display name and results appear on public boards and to members of leagues you join. Solves under 10 seconds stay off the public board. Everything else is visible only to us.

Service providers

Foldle runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores the database. Cloudflare processes requests, including your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Advertising

Foldle doesn't show ads today. If we add them, we'll update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it, including in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep game data while Foldle runs, so streaks and boards stay accurate. To delete your data, email support@foldle.app with your display name. Clearing your browser's site data for foldle.app removes your local key; your past results stay under your old name until you ask us to delete them.

Children

Foldle is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
